HISTORY
Art Petrification
Early humans expressed themselves and told their stories through cave paintings. However, their nomadic lifestyles did not allow for their art to be carried with them and thus those cave paintings remained for millennia to be discovered.
Our inspiration for Slabology comes from petroglyphs and the desire for humans to tell their story through art. Just like petroglyphs have lasted for thousands of years, our mission is to do the same for artists, art collectors and designers.
Our patented petrification process consists of depositing mineral glazes on slabs and firing at temperatures over 1,300 degrees to create ever-lasting art on stone.

Slabology started with our drive to push the limits of what can be done with stone and a high appreciation for art. With over 40 years of experience in the stone industry, we are committed to craftsmanship and innovation.
By producing on-demand slabs with locally sourced materials, we are eliminating excess waste and inventory. Our slabs are proudly made in Los Angeles.
